TexShare

What Is
TexShare?

The TexShare Card Program is a reciprocal borrowing program which allows registered users of participating TexShare libraries to obtain a TexShare card and use the card to borrow materials directly from other participating libraries.

The TexShare Database Program provides a wealth of electronic database resources to over 700 public, academic, and libraries of clinical medicine throughout the state at a significant cost savings.

Admittance to the Library

Visitors presenting valid faculty or graduate student TexShare cards are admitted to the Library at all times. Those with undergraduate TexShare cards are restricted to the hours for the general public.

Privileges

All TexShare visitors may apply for borrowing privileges. Additionally, they may access all TexShare databases from one of the public workstations. Please inquire at the Circulation Desk for a borrower's application.

Borrowing privileges for TexShare card holders do not include access to Interlibrary Loan, reserve readings, special collections, or to electronic resources restricted by licensing agreements. TexShare patrons may not borrow audiovisual materials or musical scores. Loan privileges are suspended for patrons with expired cards, overdues, and unpaid fines.

Details of the TexShare library borrowing policies, returns, and overdues may be found on the TexShare Library and Archives Commission website.

Cards

TCU students, faculty, and staff may apply for a TexShare card using this form. The card can be used for borrowing materials from other libraries in the TexShare program.
